Job Title: WAREHOUSE VOLUNTEER

Job location: HQ – Chicago, IL (Chicagoland) (Preferable Willowbrook or within 15 minutes of Willowbrook)

Reports to: Global Supply Chain & GIK Manager, and coordinate with IT Coordinator and Volunteers Coordination Manager



JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Volunteer is responsible for ensuring the effective management, organization, and tracking of MedGlobal physical supplies stored at the Willowbrook, IL facility, as well as supporting the setup and deployment of POCUS (Point-of-Care Ultrasound) devices used across global programs. The role provides essential logistical and technical coordination to headquarters IT, volunteers, and field teams to ensure accurate inventory and timely distribution of supplies and devices.



MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Warehouse, Supply & Inventory Management

Conduct regular visits to MedGlobal storage unit in Willow brook, IL to maintain inventory oversight.

Record, track, and reconcile all medical and non-medical supplies using digital logs.

Prepare and package supplies for training, field programs, and partner requests.

Ensure proper labeling, organization, and documentation of stored inventory.

Conduct periodic physical audits to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Report any facility, access, or maintenance issues and ensure secure storage conditions.

Support the redistribution, disposal, or recycling of materials as directed.



POCUS Device Setup, Management & Deployment

Receive, inventory, and coordinate with IT in configuring Butterfly iQ probes, iPads, Apple IDs, and Butterfly accounts for field use.

Prepare and ship devices to volunteers and field teams in advance of medical missions.

Retrieve or deliver devices to the Willow Brook warehouse as needed.

Maintain comprehensive logs of devices in the warehouse.



Coordination, Documentation & Communication

Serve as the primary point of coordination between Supply Chain, IT, and Volunteers’ Coordination departments for device inventory and deployment matters.

Respond to internal and external communications within 24 hours.

Support refinement of logistics and device-related workflows for improved efficiency.



Compliance & Data Security

Ensure adherence to all data security, privacy standards, and MedGlobal policies.

Conduct regular account audits and update outdated information.

Uphold MedGlobal Code of Conduct and zero-tolerance safeguarding policies across all responsibilities.



QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Familiarity with medical devices or previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with international teams.

Part-time role with flexible hours (approx. 5–7 hours per week).

On-site presence required for inventory management at Willowbrook, IL.

Occasional lifting, carrying, and handling of equipment and supplies.

Remote coordination and documentation work as needed.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
