JOB SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Officer supports MedGlobal’s supply chain operations, ensuring efficient and compliant implementation of procurement, logistics, warehouse management, and GIK (Gifts-in-Kind) activities. This role involves close collaboration with the Senior Supply Chain Officer and field office staff to ensure alignment with organizational policies and donor requirements.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Support and Compliance
1. Policy Adherence: Ensure supply chain activities comply with MedGlobal policies, procedures, and donor regulations.
2. Field Office Support: Assist field offices in:
  • Procurement documentation and compliance reviews.
  • Coordination of transportation and logistics activities.
  • Warehouse inventory management and stock control.
  • Proper handling, tracking, and distribution of in-kind donations.
3. Capacity Building: Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to field office staff to strengthen supply chain processes.
4. Reporting: Support data collection, compile reports on supply chain activities, and provide regular updates to the Supply Chain Manager.
HQ Supply Chain Operations
1. Procurement: Assist in HQ procurement processes, including vendor communication, purchase order preparation, and documentation.
2. Logistics: Coordinate shipping and transportation schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
3. Warehouse Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and support stock tracking for HQ operations.
4. GIK Management: Ensure proper documentation and handling of Gifts-in-Kind donations at the HQ level.
Emergency Response
1. Support the procurement and logistics efforts during emergency operations.
2. Assist in mobilizing medical supplies and relief items for deployment to affected areas.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
should have the following skills, education, and experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain management or logistics, preferably in a humanitarian or international development setting.
3. Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
4. Knowledge of procurement, logistics, and inventory management principles.
5. Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
8. Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs processes is a plus.
