JOB SUMMARY
The POCUS Device Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for receiving and setting up point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) devices. This role ensures that devices are properly configured, assigned to the correct country folders, and maintained for optimal performance. The coordinator works closely with IT and field teams to manage device setup, troubleshoot issues, and maintain accurate records.
1. Device Setup and Management
Receive and set up Butterfly iQ probes and iPads for field deployment.
Create and maintain organized digital folders for each country to track assigned devices and probes.
Configure devices, including setting up Apple IDs and Butterfly accounts, ensuring they are properly linked to MedGlobal’s organizational account.
Receive and inventory incoming devices; prepare and ship devices as needed.
Coordinate shipment of devices to volunteers participating in Resiliency Medical Missions, ensuring timely delivery prior to deployment.
If needed, retrieve or deliver devices to the MedGlobal warehouse located at: 7605 S Quincy Street, Unit 1023 – MedGlobal, Willowbrook, IL 60527.
2. Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Conduct quarterly calls with field offices (e.g., Yemen, Syria) to identify and resolve login or cloud access issues.
Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure smooth device operation.
Maintain a log of all devices, accounts, and associated credentials, ensuring security and accessibility.
3. Coordination and Communication
Serve as the main liaison between the IT team and field teams.
Reply to emails within 24 hours.
Ensure each device is labeled and associated with a unique email account for tracking.
Support post-deployment reviews and device reactivation as needed.
Coordinate with Butterfly Network for technical support and replacements.
4. Data and Security Compliance
Ensure all procedures adhere to data security and privacy protocols.
Conduct regular audits to manage accounts and remove inactive ones.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Experience working with IT and cloud-based systems.
Familiarity with medical devices or previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with international teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and basic troubleshooting processes.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Understanding of POCUS technology.
Experience in field operations or device management.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
