Job Title: Graphic Designer Assistant
Job location: HQ - Remote
Reports to: Global Communications Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Graphic Designer is responsible for communicating our programs, policy priorities, and humanitarian and health impact to a wide variety of audiences via content created for our website, social media, email listserv, and more.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Communications
• Design a variety of organizational content and materials, social media designs, including blog posts, briefings, fact sheets, presentation materials, organizational statements, op-eds, and reports.
• Maintain, organize, and filter the organization’s communications assets, including photo & video repository, success stories and testimonies, communications assets, style guide, and digital files.
• Proactively monitor and track digital media trends and provide recommendations that seek to improve MedGlobal’s designs.
Design & Content Creation
• Assist our country teams with all required content.
• Design, edit, and produce communications and marketing materials including graphics, infographics, blog posts, briefings, and brochures for use in multiple promotional channels.
• Create consistent assets in line with the MedGlobal Style & Brand Guide.
Outreach and Media Relations
• Provide support for special events and report production, including mailings, marketing, and other communication initiatives.
• Provide guidance in design best practices to other MedGlobal staff, country teams, and partners as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Should have the following skills, education, and experience:
• At least 2 years of experience working in communications at a nonprofits or related organization desired, including drafting.
• Experience in design programs including Adobe.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure across cultures and time zones. Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, accountable to goals and willing to learn new techniques, ideas, and skills.
• Experience in video editing is a plus.
• Proficiency in Arabic desired.

The organization is composed of medical and public health professionals from diverse backgrounds.
Job Type: Consultant - Short Term
Pay: $1,300 - $2,000 monthly
